So I'm going to post the Omnivore's Hundred - a list of 100 things that I have tried.

I've eaten 45/100. Not bad. And not very many strike-throughs. I'm open to trying a lot of things... but I can't get past 4 things. Cigars, Insects, Frog's legs and Horses. Who knows? That could change in the future. I think that I'll revisit this yearly and see if I can bold any more items on the list.
In other news, I'm still sick. I feel worse today than I did yesterday. Also, the plague has spread. My husband is sick. D (the oldest) has avoided being sick, and R is already over it. Both kids haven't been very sympathetic, but at least they've both been napping. Nobody should be concerned, it's just a cold. However, getting over a cold is hard when you literally have no opportunities to rest. I get 6 hours a sleep at most (with interruptions) and am constantly running around. Whee!
Also, I'm not sure how I missed this... but ATK/CI (America's Test Kitchen/Cook's Illustrated) went a little crazy over a women who posted a modified version of their recipes. I can understand not allowing direct reprints over the web (their archives is accessible through subscription), but they don't allow modifications and were claiming that parts of the recipe were copyrighted. I had been debating subscribing to Cook's Illustrated, but they're certainly off my list of magazines, now. (All this over potato salad, yeesh)
The facts - lists of ingredients are not protected by copyright, and only parts of recipes that are unique (like a specific method nobody uses, or long story unique to you) are covered. Because the rest are all cooking terms.
